Inside Scott: Mid-Week Edition
Good Wednesday morning, Scott County! 🐪 We’ve reached the middle of the work week. It’s downhill to the weekend from here! Here is your brief look at everything going on in Scott County at the moment.
Weather
⛈️ It’s going to be a stormy day today, though it won’t rain all day.
Almanac: Sunrise/Sunset: 6:18/8:54 • Records: 91° (1975), 45° (1977) • YTD Rainfall: 30.2” (Normal: 26.9”)
Details: There’s a 90% chance of thunderstorms in the forecast today, with a high of about 80°. It won’t rain all day, but nailing down the exact times of precipitation is difficult. We may see showers and storms in the vicinity during the morning hours, then we will likely see a break during much of the afternoon. However, thunderstorms will become likely again this evening, with a line of storms advancing on the region after sunset — perhaps around 10 p.m. or so. The rain should have cleared our area by sunrise tomorrow morning, and we’ll see gradual clearing during the day. Nice weather will persist through Friday and into the weekend, along with another wave of below-average temperatures. We’ll only be in the mid 70s this weekend and early next week!
Further Out: Rain chances return Sunday (there’s a slight chance for an afternoon thunderstorm on Saturday). However, it won’t rain much next week. We’ll see slightly below-average rainfall for this time of year over the next couple of weeks.
